STAY 6FT APART FROM EACH OTHER

Avoid close contact with people who are sick. If possible, maintain 6 feet between the person who is sick and other household members.

Wash your hands often

Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds especially after you have been in a public place, or after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.

WEAR A MASK

If you are not fully vaccinated and aged 2 or older, you should wear a mask in indoor public places.

Avoid crowds

Avoid indoor spaces that do not offer fresh air from the outdoors as much as possible. If indoors, bring in fresh air by opening windows and doors, if possible.

Cover coughs and sneezes

Always cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze, or use the inside of your elbow and do not spit.

FAQ ABOUT COVID-19

How long will it take to build immunity after getting the COVID-19 vaccine?

It takes time for your body to build protection after any vaccination. People are considered fully vaccinated two weeks after their second shot of the Pfizer-BioNtech or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, or two weeks after the single-dose J&J/Janssen COVID-19 vaccine

What are the side effects of the Covid vaccine?

Millions of vaccinated people have experienced side effects, including swelling, redness, and pain at the injection site. Fever, headache, tiredness, muscle pain, chills, and nausea are also commonly reported.

Are there any long term effects of COVID-19 vaccine?

Serious side effects that could cause a long-term health problem are extremely unlikely following any vaccination. Vaccine monitoring has historically shown that side effects generally happen within six weeks of receiving a vaccine dose.

Is it normal to have side effects after second COVID-19 vaccine?

Side effects after your second shot may be more intense than the ones you experienced after your first shot. These side effects are normal signs that your body is building protection and should go away within a few days.

Can you get COVID-19 after being vaccinated?

Vaccinated people can still become infected and have the potential spread the virus to others, although at much lower rates than unvaccinated people. The risks of SARS-CoV-2 infection in fully vaccinated people are higher where community transmission of the virus is widespread.

HOW EFFECTIVE IS THE PFIZER COVID-19 VACCINE?

For people 16 years and older, the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine was 95% effective at preventing laboratory-confirmed infection with the virus that causes COVID-19 in people who received two doses and had no evidence of being previously infected.
